Great design doesn’t follow trends. It creates them.
When Open Farm expanded beyond traditional treat formats, they needed packaging that felt bold and impossible to miss on shelf.
I led the design and packaging development for the Jerky Strips line, helping introduce a more playful, disruptive visual direction that would later influence future product launches across the brand.
The result? One of Open Farm's most successful treat launches and a product that quickly became a customer favorite.
Open Farm became the first pet food brand to bring premium wet food to the shelf in a traditional fish tin format.
I led the packaging design behind the launch, creating a bold visual system that challenged category conversions and instantly stood out from every other product on shelf.
The project helped establish a new design language for the brand, influenced future product launches, and went on to earn a Dieline Award nomination—one of the packaging industry's highest recognitions.
